One way the music videos use media language to appeal to a target audience could be the setting. 'Black magic' they base it in a high school which is where everyone grew up and where teenagers go now, they can relate to the setting. As well as that, in 'Somebody to you', it is based on a beach, which is where teenagers love to hang out and it sets a relaxing and chilled vibe, this appeals to the target audience of 12-18, as its their reality.

One way the music videos use media language to represent the artists is the use of mine-en-scene. For example,the clothing in 'BM' is very revealing and promiscuous, this is to convey the band as a pop bang, as pop bands including girls usually are seen wearing revealing clothing. In 'STY', The boys in the vamps, are wearing very in style trendy pieces of clothing, leather jackets, jeans an plain shirts, they are dressed chill in order to present themselves as both, pop artists due to them keeping up with the fashion trends as well as jus regular teen boys who don't want to much fame.

In a music video, such as 'Black Magic', they use a very diverse cast. They do this by including a variety of age, ethnicity,culture and shapes and sizes. This is an advantage to a music video due to everyone feeling included and part of an everyday regular society, and therefore every person of the ages of 12-18 can relate to the video as they are all in the process of high school, and the variation of cast makes it seem more realistic and connotes normality.
On the other hand, in 'Somebody to you' there is a lack of diverse within the cast. The whole cast is of one ethnicity and culture, white american. This makes people of a different ethnicity feel not included in society and feel like they don't belong in everyday life, as white americans in this video are seen 'normal'.
As well as that, in 'STY',all the girls are all pretty, they all have a full face of makeup on wearing bikinis down the beach, all of the same shape and size, skinny. This makes girls of a different size feel they're not able to gain male attention due to them not being skinny enough. This may make them question themselves and start to feel uncomfortable in their own skin, and question there part in society. This also conforms to the stereotype that girls who are pretty and skinny can only attract male attention, but on the other hand, makes people of that shape relate to the video, due to them experiences may happening to them.

music videos are made and how they benefit artists and audiences
Music videos are made in order to entertain the audience, as well as promote the artist as well as gain fans.
Within a music video you gain multiple viewers, due to the audience relating to the video or using it for personal identity, or maybe inspired by the narrative on the video. This benefits the artist due to them then gaining many viewings and then gaining many fans, due to them loving the video so much, they decide to listen to all their music, perhaps by an album which also benefits the artist due to them receiving more money. As well as that, when 2 artists do a collaboration, for example in, 'Somebody to you' both the vamps and Demi Lovato feature. This increases the views, due to both audiences and fans of the artist tuning in and also makes both artists gain fans due to them loving the song, and video so much they become fans of both artists, and so is a huge advantage.
