Representation

Star image
A stars image becomes a readily recognised sign that is used in many different media forms.
Stars can use the fact that their image has meaning by allowing it to be used for advertising purposes.
A pop star is a manufactured image and does not correlate to person's personality behind the image.

Somebody to you representations

The group of girls-

The group of girls appear to be at the age of 16-18. Their costumes are very revealing, they are mostly wearing bikinis throughout the video, if not short revealing clothes. All the girls appear to be white, there is no diversity or ethnic equality. These girls could offend girls of different shapes and sizes, due to the girls being inclusive, due to them all being skinny and of the same shape and colour, this could make people of different ethnicity, shape or culture feel they won't be able to get another boys attention if they don't look like a typical pretty girl, this conforms to the stereotype only pretty girls get 'attractive' boys attention.

The vamps-
The vamps look about the age of 16-18. Their all boys and show lack of homosexuality due to them all being presented as typical heterosexual boys. All of the boys are white, there is no mix of ethnicity or culture within the group. They wear very on trend and in season clothing to appear as chill and in fashion, they want all the girls to love them as well as tone a fashion icon for the audience. The vamps could be offending those with a different race due to them feeling not part of society and unnoticeable in everyday life. They are inclusive as they are all seen a good-looking boys, all with the same shape and size, culture and ethnicity an don't include anyone who could be seen as 'different', this is a dominant stereotype and conforms to the stereotype of good-looking boys always getting the girls attention.

Black magic representations-

The popular blonde female-
The popular girl appears to be represented at the age of 16-18. Due to her being the stereotypical 'popular' girl, she wears revealing clothing, a crop top with a short skirt, she is also skinny and is presented as having the 'ideal' figure, therefore they showed off this figure by putting her in more provocative clothing, this conforms to the stereotype that popular girls have to have the ideal figure and wear revealing clothing in order to get attention from boys. This 'popular' girl is white, and so they are presenting her as a typical high school teen, and a 'regular' girl with no curve, colour or culture, just a 'bitchy' personality. They are offending geeks due them suggesting they dont have a chance with any guy without being perfect and popular. This could also offend popular people due to them automatically being judged on their looks, and are classed as bitchy at first judgements. They are not inclusive due to them using people of different ethnicity, race, culture and size. Such as the Asian popular boy, which challenges the stereotype of Asian teens being geeky and nerdy.

The geek-
The geek is represented at the high school age of 16-19.Due to him being a stereotypical geek, they use mine-en-scene to make the representation of a geek, For example he uses props such as a book and glasses to connote a nerdy type of high school boy. This conforms to the stereotype that all geeks wear glasses and are obsessed with books. This also makes the target audience, high schoolers, relate to the character as they see 'geeks' around school all the time, or are one. The geek is also presented as unpopular. This is shown through all the girls laughing at him when dropping a prop, a book. This could offend the geeks due to them being presented as something they may not be, a laughing stock. Although some geeks may be able to relate to this, personal identity, due to this happening to them in school, but the hope in the video that it will work put in the end.
