MOJO was initially published by Emap, but bauer media (PUBLISHERS FOR MOJO) took over 2008 and bought Emap in 2007.

MOJO readers
MOJO had a fair small circulation, the amount of print currently being distributed, hadd copies being printed, of about 68,000 copies between the years of 2016-2017 and a readership of about 138,000, a rather neesh audience.
Class-
MOJO gains a similar share of middle and working class readers.
Gender-
MOJO is four times more likely to be read by men than by women.
Age-

  • The reader ship is audult
  • There is a greater number of older readers, over 35, than younger readers:nearly two thirds of the readers are over 35.
  • However a higher proportion of 15-34 year olds,a neesh group, read the magazine compared with over 35 year olds, a mass group. 

Media conglomerate 
Conglomerate- A media institution or company that owns numerous companies involved in mass media enterprises, such as television, radio, publishing etc. 
Bauer media is a conglomerate, it owns magazines, tv channels, music tv channels and radio stations, owns lots of different companies. 
MOJO is published by bauer media. This company owns more than 600 magazines including 2 other uk magazines (Q and Kerrang)
Diversified- when a conglomerate expands a product into different media platforms, such as online. 
They diversified MOJO by offering mojo4music.com online in order to reduce the risk of operating in only 1 media from, and will make sure it won't die out and be forgotten. 

In early 2010 bauer decided to impose a new contract on all photographers and writers. 
They took away their copyright and libel rights (a published false statement that is damaging a persons rep). 
Prior to 2010, photographers and writers had complete creative control and copyright over their images and work, however bauer media took this power away from them and gave the control over to MOJO magazine. 

Was a digital radio station, It was announced on the 5 November 2008 that Mojo radio would cease broadcasting on 30 November 2008, in order to save bauer money. 


Bauer media is a diversified media conglomerate because Bauer media has diversified MOJO by offering a different platform other than a hard copy such as access to it online. It is a conglomerate due to Bauer media owning different companies such as radio stations and 600+ other magazines. 

Bauer media is a globalised company because it has 11,000 employees operating in 17 different countries producing different products  for Bauer media, consuming a lot of profit from these products.
